ABHISEKA (Jp: Dempo Kanjo)
Abisheka is the point where the disciple is given secret Mudras
and Mantras, that were brought from China to Japan by Kobo Daishi.
It is truly an exquisite ritual, rich in energy and a person can
receive many insights during this connection, as the Abisekha
master transmits the Lifeforce of Mahavairocana Buddha.
The process for receiving Abhiseka includes:
This is only conducted on Mount Koya and generally only once a
year. The registration fee for this ritual is 100,000 yen ( about
$940)
